This rubric evaluates blog posts on a scale of 1 to 4 in four categories: ideas and topic development, voice and style, contribution to the learning community, and mechanics. A score of 4 represents a post that communicates an original and well-supported viewpoint, uses an effective writing style, engages respectfully with other posts, and has few grammatical errors. A score of 1 represents a post that fails to communicate a clear viewpoint, has an unclear writing style, does not acknowledge other discussions, and has extensive errors.
