(MIS)
MIS stands for management information system
which provides high level managers with different
kinds of information and support for the process of
decision making. Every management information
system is an integrated collection of subsystems
which are typically organized horizontally within an
organization.
3. MIS reports
MIS reports generally helps the managers and high level
management system by providing adequate and mandatory
information and helps them in taking the required decisions
for the benefit of the organization.
MIS reports check the performance of the firm by comparing the
data from past and present and also forecast the relevant
demands in the future for the organization. It helps in finding
out the variances of the output of the firm’s performance
from present and forecasted data.

1. Scheduled report : Produced periodically, or on a schedule
(daily, weekly, monthly)
This type of report is produced periodically or on scheduled
basis, these report provide activity of sales and others
attributes on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
2. Key Indicator report :
• Summarizes the previous day’s critical activities
• Typically available at the beginning of each day
This report helps the manager in comparing the actual sales and

manager’s request.

This report helps in getting an idea about the sales activity of any
particular product during a particular month or time.
5. Drill down report : Provide detailed data about a situation.
This report compares the actual and forecasted sales record of
the products and helps in finding the variance in them during
the fixed period of time during a year.
