4. In 2000 we established loveat. on barzilay street, and first introduced
organic coffee to the Israeli public. Since then we are still leading the way
and developing the organic coffee field, the slow food concept, recycling
and our special connection with the environment.
In our world, where food has become faster and espresso shorter, the
main value we nurture and remains at the basis of everything we do is to
keep everything slow. Don’t worry, you’ll get your coffee and your food
really fast. Dealing with all the ingredients and preparing everything
behind the scenes, however, we prefer to keep slow and precise.
We will always prefer human over industrial, slow preparation over
fast, and quality over quantity. That is why we personally import our
organic coffee from farmers across the world, while insisting on fair trade
of course. This is also why we roast our own coffee in our own roasting
establishment on barzilay street. That is why we use only the best and
most fresh materials and ingredients on our menu, and make everything
from scratch each and every morning.
This way we are able to succeed in allowing you to slow down the pace
for a moment and enjoy, just like that in the middle of the day –
an organic coffee break.
Our company has 3 key elements:
We believe that our finances, the environment in which we work
and our contribution to society are the basis for our success.
We are the first in our country to develop the concept
of friendly, high quality coffee.
The leading company in importing shade grown fair trade organic coffee.

Naturalfood.
Our kitchens are run much like any professional restaurant.
Nothing sits on the shelf, and you won’t find expiration dates on
any of our to-go products, simply because they won’t be there
more than one day.
Our fresh, chemical and preservative-free ingredients arrive at our
kitchens each morning. We don’t mind that fresh foods don’t last
as long – we just start from the beginning every day. We expect
only the best from our suppliers, just as we do from ourselves.
Our food crew gathers twice a week for recipe brainstorming
sessions. We come up with dozens of new ideas every season;
some are classic, some are a bit out-there. Just like us. That is why
our menu is innovative but steady, and doesn’t fall for passing fads.
Take a look and take a bite, you’re in for a treat.
You’re welcome to treat us, too – if you or anyone you know loves
making delicious organic or natural delicacies (from yogurt with
granola to salad dressing), let us know. We’re always on the lookout
for new flavors.

10. loveat.Barzilay.
Our first branch. Opened in 2001 in the notorious Gan
Ha’hashmal area.
The owner Tal Bodenstein saw the hidden potential
of the area, and so did fashion designers that started
surrounding the area. Together they founded the Gan
Ha’hashmal collective. Their main goal: to improve the
problematic image of the area, and to make it a leading
fashion area in Tel Aviv.
It’s been a few years now, and we can most certainly say
that their goal has been achieved.

loveat.on barzilay street has been – since the day it was
first opened - a milestone in the fast development and
transformation of Gan Ha’hashmal area.
Tal Bodenstein acted as chairman of the collective and worked
to improve the area while collaborating with authorities in the
city hall of Tel Aviv.

12. A prolonged collaboration in which we sell tickets for the Pecha Kucha
night - an event that has become one of the most important and most
desired art events of the past few years.
The tickets never last more than 5 hours…
loveat. sponsored and participated in the last T-Market fair in Tel Aviv.
We operated the cafeteria at the fair and even printed special T-shirts
for the occasion.

13. This branch captures the essence of the loveat. concept.
It is a very functional branch on very little space, and is
very reminiscent of the European, and specifically the
Italian, espresso bars.
We established loveat. on dizengoff street to give our
customers, on the north side of the city, a chance to enjoy
the coffee experience and the organic coffee break we
offer. Despite it’s limited space we feel it fully provides the
experience of loveat. to our customers.
This is our smallest branch yet.

BayitBanamal (A House in the Harbor) is an alternative
culture-oriented shopping center, in which you can find:
commeilfaut fashion flagship store, a rotating feminist art
collection, Israeli guest designers.
Coola - a women only spa and treatments center.
Sisters - a women friendly sex toy shop.
TheLibrary with an extensive collection of second hand
and rare books, lessons and workshops, fair trade products .
And us of course, loveat.
BayitBanamal was founded in order to promote values
in a reality where everything has become a commodity
and is based on the understanding that the majority of
encounters between strangers occur while shopping.
We want to use these encounters to bring together people
and ideas, and that is why it hosts our biggest branch.
Despite its size, Tel Aviv Port’s loveat. still maintains its
intimate espresso-bar feel.

19. A 2 story branch located in Nachalat Binyamin pedestrian
mall. This branch is the culture center of loveat, where
we hold music shows, special sales, fashion shows, coffee
lectures and other interesting events.
This is our largest branch yet.
preservation
We had to do a lot of reconstruction work on this branch
since it is located in an historic building.
We worked alongside with the preservation department
in Tel Aviv city hall, and preservation architect Yael
Pecker. The reconstructing work took almost a full year,
but in the end we received our most impressive and
largest branch, yet.

20. We opened our fourth branch in an old hangar which used
to be a packing factory, in collaboration with the local book
stores chain – Steimatzky.
The concept was to create a lively cultural center where
people could read and browse through magazines while
having a cup of coffee.
merging
This loveat. branch is located on the old Jaffa port,
which in the past days was used for loading and unloading
of stocks. That is what guided us when we started
designing the place. We wanted to preserve certain
elements of the port itself, and the stocks coming in and
out of it was our inspiration.

21. loveat.Habima.
Habima square stands at the intersection between four
of Tel Aviv’s main boulevards and is home to Habima
national theater and other cultural landmarks. It is the
heart of the White City.
The adjacent and wonderfully restored Yaakov Garden is
home to our cozy branch that we share with Steimatzky’s
coffee and art-oriented concept store.
At loveat. Habima, our smallest branch, we emphasize
coffee culture, from books to by-the-pound ground
coffee purchases.

22. loveat.people.
The people of loveat. are what makes all the difference. They
are the ones behind the customer experience.
That is why we maintain a friendly and familiar atmosphere
where everyone – from owners and CEO through managers
to waiters and baristas – is part of one tribe. This tribe has a
mission, to create a longstanding organizational tradition
highlighting efficiency and professionalism. The loveat. crew
are more than workers, they are family.
This approach has led to our future executives program,
promoting managers from within our ranks. We want our crew
to grow and develop with us. They are the future generation.
We want our employees to enjoy their work and know that they
are part of the workplace. Every one of us contributes from our
creativity and uniqueness to what makes loveat. great.

communicating.
We put a lot of effort in our language and graphic design. Other
than the fact that we are addicted to esthetics, we understand
that it is a very important tool for communication with our
customers. That is why we try to keep it simple, as clear and
open as possible, without too many details in the way.

25. loveat.service.
The service in loveat. is not exactly full service and not exactly
self-service – it is somewhere in between. You order from the
cashier and receive a wooden letter for your table.
Our employees will find you by your letter and bring your order
to the table. Though our service is semi-self service we still
manage to give you the best service possible. We will do our best
to memorize what you love to drink and eat, so you won’t have
to say a word the next time you’re in for your morning coffee.

26. Our plans for the next year include
opening an innovative roast house
and a food-entrepreneurship-
coffee academy.
The loveat.brand is steadily and
organically expanding. We have
a few projects in motion in and
outside of Tel Aviv, most notably
New York – dynamic, multicultural,
young and influential, a perfect
match for loveat.
