Adam Cioffi <br />Computer Lab Assignment for Maritcha: A Nineteenth-Century American Girl<br />Title Creating our own “keepsakes”<br />Task for after completing Maritcha: A Nineteenth-Century American Girl<br />Introduction:<br />  Ask Students how it made them feel to actually look at photographs of “keepsakes” that had been Maritcha’s very own as well as photographs and drawings from the time?  Did it help to give you a better sense of the events portrayed in the book?  Why? Why not?<br />Directions:<br />Have students create a scrapbook of “Keepsakes”  using Microsoft Word. Students will search for images that would describe them and arrange them in the scrapbook. Students will then share scrapbooks with other students in their class and students will answer questions about that students life by analyzing the images collected.<br />Compare and contrast experiences in Maritcha’s life to their own.<br />
