Diamond core drilling was conducted on sandstone, limestone, and shale rock formations using a multispeed rotary boring machine with core barrel types NMLC or NX that have reamers on the bottom of the rod to produce continuous core samples. The core diameter was 54 mm and core recovery ratio (CRR) and rock quality designation (RQD) values were reported for each core run, with CRR and RQD defined as the ratio of core length obtained or good core length over 100 mm to total drilling length, respectively, and both having target values of 5%.
