ABSTRACT
Bankrupcy is a condition where the firm can be runs well. This situation can
be seen by some side, they are the time where the firm don’t have enough
capital,can not pay the debt, or many be it doesn’t have any change to be better.
All situation above can indicate to bankrupcy.
Financial report one of way to analyze the finance condition to know how
far of the firm situation. It can be seen though finance ratio analize which is
devide into three, they are working capital to total assets, capital to debt ratio,and
Profitability ratio. This research is to know the finance work from the 30 public
company as samples.
This valid data is taken from Jakarta Stock Exchange ( BEJ) using the Z-
Score method, to know firm condition, bankrupcy or not. 30% or nine of them
belong to bankrupcy condition, 20% trouble in finance situation and 50% the last
is in good condition.
Z-Score method, can be used by Jakarta Stock Exchange to know the
finance condition of firms which want to join in it by selling the shares to the
public.

: This study aimed to obtain empirical evidence about the state of financial distress prediction using the Altman Z-score and ratio-ratio test Z-score in influencing the price of shares in the chemical subsectors listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2009-2014 period. The samples were determined by purposive sampling, while data processing using Microsoft Excel, and SPSS. Financial distress only occurs in ETWA company in 2014 in the category of bankruptcy. Effect of a Z-score to the stock price is significantly 0.004 and ratio-ratio of the Altman Z score is working capital to total assets have no significant effect amounted to 0,085, retained earnings to total assets have no significant effect amounted to 0,478, EBIT to total assets have a significant influence amounted to 0,016, and the book value of equity to book value of total debt had no significant effect of 0.078. Contribution ratio-ratio Altman Z-score of 48.6% to the stock price. In conclusion, the financial distress that are in reasonably good condition. Z-score can be used to predict stock prices, and ratios of Z-score only ebit to total assets can significantly affect stock prices partially.

This research aims to compare the capital structure of Bangladeshi banking and non-banking financial institutions through some measurements. The annual financial statements of 10 commercial banks and 10 non-bank financial institutions were used for this study which covers a period of five (5) years from 2009- 2013. The study assesses the capital structure of the banking and non-banking sectors measured by total debt to equity ratio (DER), total debt to total funds ratio and performance by ROE, ROA, EPS.Descriptive statistics, t-test have been used to show the differences between banking and non-banking capital structure and performance. However this study concludes that there is no significant difference between Bank and non-bank’s EPS but there is a significant difference between Bank and non-bank’s D/A ratio and D/E ratio and ROA and ROE.

Corporate failure is a serious problem being confronted by the corporate world. This issue has been a subject of intensive research and discussion by economists, bankers, creditors, equity shareholders, accountants, marketing and management experts. The present study aims at developing a model for prediction of corporate failure on the basis of financial ratios. The study is based on the data of selected firms from chemical industry (with equal number of failed and non failed firms). The discriminant analysis has been used to discriminate between failed and non failed firms. It is concluded that some of the financial ratios can significantly differentiate between failed and non failed firms. The finding will be useful for the banks and other financial institutions in designing a suitable credit appraisal and monitoring system for their loans. This model could guide the policy makers to prepare an early warning system to avoid bankruptcy.
