ENCOURAGING WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT DESIGNATE
ACC NEWS BULLETIN
After having spoken of his en-
deavours Mr Carter thanked the
African Christian College com-
munity for their effort in helping
to fix a few things among many
which were damaged in the
storm. The College fell victim to
the strong storm on the night of
16th
October 2012. A lot of prop-
erty was damaged. He thanks
God that the storm did not claim
any human life, except having
lost two head of cattle and dam-
age to property.
The president of African
Christian College, Brad
Carter, is very optimistic
about the growth of the Col-
lege. Part of his definition of
success of African Christian
College is that he wants to
keep it growing in number of
students, achieve accredita-
tion status, and serve the
students and their countries
with the best academic
standards.
President Carter who is suc-
ceeding the reign of his fa-
ther has innovative abilities
which will help to build the
longevity of the College. His
experience in working with
different organisations is an
asset for the growth of the
College. One of his objec-
tives is for African Christian
College to be able to source
resources to sustain the Col-
lege. “I want the school to
continue developing ways
which will enable us to sus-
tain the College.” One of the
ways through which the Col-
lege will sustain itself is the
sale of the processed Maca-
damia Nuts. The ability to
sustain the College speaks to
all students and alumni to
continue praying for the Col-
lege, and one day extend a
hand in donation.
Mr Carter wants African
Christian College to become
a premier Christian higher
education Institute for the
churches of Christ in Africa.
He has a word of encourage-
ment to all the students, “we
have some of the best college
students anywhere on this
campus. I encourage them to
search for knowledge and
seek ways to challenge their
abilities.
His major academic objec-
tive for the year 2013 is to
achieve accreditation. The
administration has been
working to achieve accredi-
tation with ACTEA. The
tireless efforts of the admin-
istration and the board of
trustees are bearing fruits.
One of the great achieve-
ments, in a bid to attain ac-
creditation, is the building of
the Library. The Library
Team led by Tom Wolfe
built the Library building
with resources from well-
wishing American donors.
The work was accomplished
by collective efforts from the
Tom led team, administra-
tion, African Christian Col-
lege Board of Trustees, the
College employees and stu-
dents.
The president said, “My fam-
ily and I are very excited to
be here and to work in the
ministry. We are also excited
to be part of the African
Christian College family. It
is a great experience to get to
know and share experiences
with people from different
countries. It is a blessing to
be here.”
ALLISON DEFINES THE OBJECTIVE OF
EVANGELISM by Spencer K
T
he Co – heard of the Evangelism Department, Field-
en Allison defined the objective of evangelism and
the involvement of the College. He described the
objective of evangelism in three ways.
Firstly, Fielden believes that it is the duty of every Christian
to evangelize. He quoted Matthew 28:18-20 as Christians
are commanded to preach the gospel. Secondly, souls of the
lost have to be saved, and he believes that only the Chris-
tians as the body of Christ will help save the lost, but God
will provide the increase. Thirdly, the school evangelizes
due to both the latter and the former, and to prepare the stu-
dents for the future. “Students have to be prepared both
mentally and spiritually for the work of evangelism. Stu-
dents have to learn that evangelism is for all Christians
whether leader or not.”
His opinion is that besides equipping students for a career in
Ministry, Leadership and Counseling African Christian Col-
lege is a place to equip evangelists, evangelists who will be
self-supported. “Having evangelism at African Christian
College will help students see that church planting and
evangelism is an achievable project.” When asked to com-
ment about the evangelism program in Nhlambeni, Mr. Alli-
son said that reviewing the plan on Nhlambeni is ongoing.

Q. What advice do you have for the
incoming President (Brad Carter)?
To enjoy the people he will meet
here and to take advantage of the

self into the African culture.
LARRY —ACC IS A
BLESSING
Q. What has been
your greatest achieve-
ment here at ACC?
“We’ve spent nine and a
half years, watching the
College grow from a two
to three year program has
been a great achievement.
We have been exposed to
many students, students’
wives and Children. We have grown to
learn a lot from the students who come
from at least eleven different Countries.
We have been amazed with student’s
dedication to the service of the Lord
and seeing God’s love in them. We have
seen students growing and maturing
together with ACC.”
Q. What words do you have to moti-
vate students?
“The Lord brought you to
African Christian College. He
has a plan for you. You have
had the opportunity to be
prepared and to mature in
faith. Hopefully your experi-
ence will prepare you to be
better leaders in your Coun-
try, Community and the
Church.”
Q. What future plans do you have for
the ongoing of ACC?
“ACC is on the path of growth to be-
come a place for more and more stu-
dents. In order for that to happen, we
need people with tools to take us there.
We shall continue to fundraise for the
College because we believe growth in-
creases expenses. We shall be visiting
 Cheptot’s 2012 highlight is….
Setting his mind on being an ambassa-
dor for ACC wherever he goes.
 The greatest lesson he learnt at
ACC is…
We are all equal in the Lord
 His best memory of ACC he is
taking home with him is…
ACC is an institution that stands to
glorify God, which does not select the
people they admit. It is a school for
everyone.
 His favorite scripture is…
Luke 6:31
 The message he would like to pass to the ACC community
is…
