The Globe Theatre, London, UK
The Globe Theatre was built in 1599 and
was destroyed by fire on 29 July 1613. The
second Globe Theatre was built on the
same place in June 1614 and closed in
1642.
A modern reconstruction of The Globe
was opened in 1997 from the place of the
original theatre.
