"Seeing rich body movement as a resource for interaction
design as well as a meaningmaking process itself, this
constructive design research aims to explore the possibilities
of developing movement-driven daily artifacts.
To frame and reframe the design space of our concept and
to inform our prototyping of interactive lamps.
Observations of the interviews bring rich insight into how
the core value is practically presented. In particular, our
research emphasizes how this everyday practice provides
us an aesthetic and pleasurable value and enriches lived
experience."

"Most research focus on the functionality or usability, but
the discussion of construction of meaning in interaction
is rarely seen.
Seeing rich body movement as a design resource for
interaction design as well as a meaning-making process
itself, this constructive design research aims to explore
the possibilities of developing movement-driven daily
artifacts, for instance, a novel interactive lamp. Specific
research questions are as follows. Is the GUI of an
electronic product enough for providing information
in our life? Moreover, we usually create layout of touch
interface by putting all function keys on surface only and
pretend that all of them are functional buttons. So, does
a user really know how to use it? Instead of seeing people
as cognitive and learning machine, overemphasizing
visual objects, we intend to put more emphasis on the
other abilities of human body, for instance, rich body
movement."
