2. ArtOS – is a gun-fire control complex designed to
work with artillery batteries, mortars and multiple
launch rocket systems of different caliber, and
brings the innovative solution to information and
communication technologies
It can work as a component of the
reconnaissance-striking complex and also be
compatible with diverse systems of
reconnaissance, surveillance, data recording,
where the digital data transmittance takes place.

3. The ArtOS
greatly optimizes the performance of existing
artillery fire weapons of CIS countries. Software
flexibility makes it possible to integrate modern
types of weapons from NATO countries. Artillery
batteries (towed and self-propelled) missile and
mortar batteries - all can be equipped with
ArtOS complex. Combining ArtOS with aerial
recon (drone) formations allows to build a
precise attack pattern, and included ammo
consumption record system allows commander
to make timely resupply orders.

5. ArtOS complex is compatible with Delta,
UKROP application. It can be easily compatible with
other software, applied in the Armed Forces of
Ukraine. It can also receive data from artillery and
operational commanders as well as from any
known reconnaissance system: aerial, acoustic,
radar, optical and data mapping system.
6. ArtOS complex is able:
To plan combat operations;
•
•
•
•
Substantially shorten the preparation time
(down to 7 minutes max);
To save time (up to 1 minute) on fire opening
from the moment of detection of burst
localization;
To solve up to 70% of tactical and battlefield
tasks encountered by artillery detachments;
7. •
• To solve geodetic tasks.
To plan fire attack;•
• To keep records of ammunition and other
inventory and submit resupply orders;
To plan relocation and communicate the route,
obtained from the artillery recon group;
8. Ability to apply ArtOS complex for
standard control systems as well as
without them, as a part of complex
as a whole or by every terminal
individually;

Key advantages
Using ArtOS complexes it is possible
to create a group of artillery
detachments, from battalion and
brigade artillery group to a group of
artillery corps;
Compatible with Delta, UKROP
application (more than 8,000 users in
the area of anti-terrorist operation)
and other software;

artillery system, in automated mode
and receive data from drones, from
any system of artillery
reconnaissance, from
meteorological complexes and other
devices;
Based on the cutting-edge platform
with ability of automated software
update and includes modern software
means of data protection.
Ability to control artillery gunfire by
combined arms commanders without
vocational training via UKROP
application and other software used by
the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
10. Individual distinctive features
All terminals are interconnected through
several types of communication
(Wi-Fi, cellular networks, army transceivers)
Software features are strictly divided
between officials according to their
military position;
Simulation of the real state of combat
operations on the digital map;
Positioning of observations posts and
firing points within several known
coordinate systems;
Processing and analysis of reconaissance
data;
Ammo and inventory usage records;

commander terminal to the gunner
terminal inclusively;
Firing data calculation considering
all weather and ballistic conditions;
Automated positioning of each gun;
Automated firing data setting for
every gun;
Control over conditions of machinery
and personel;
Automated logging for any received and
given commands, safe storage of the
received and sent information without
ability of deletion, with ability of further
export as text files;

12. Data encryption
Login password Secure https connection while transmitting
data via Internet;
Every tablet has its own private key for
additional encryption of data using RSA
and AES algorithm;
AES-256 security key while transmitting data
via radio communication facilities;
All the data are transmitted in form of
raw sequence of bytes (and not
formatted into XML, JSON etc). It
significantly complicates the analysis of
package content in case if interception.
Obfuscated program code: even while receiving
the installation package with its further
decompilation, it is impossible to understand
program structures;
ADB (Android Debug Bridge) password
protection;

Modularity
Compatible with modern measurement
devices, as follows: sensors, measuring
meteo- and ballistic data, vehicle αaxis ,
barrel elevation angle etc.
Can be easily adjusted for usage with
more modern weapon models;
Supplemented with different number
of terminals, depending on
personnel of the unit;
Due to its modular design, ArtOS system
can be:
14. Fire Direction Centre commander's terminal
Basic functions of the FDC commander's
terminal are to obtain information in respect of
the targets or other military forces, connection
with observation points through GPS, solving
the tasks of reconnaissance device orientation
and transmitting commands to Firing Sections
commander.
15. Firing Sections commander's terminal
Basic functions of the firing sections
commander's terminal are to obtain targets data
from battery commander via digital
communication channels, control over gun
condition, automated meteo- and ballistic
measurement and transfer of data on targets to
gunlayers for opening the fire.
16. Gunlayer's terminal is assigned for obtaining and
transmitting data to the Firing Sections
commander's terminal via communication
facilities, ensuring connection to gun, setting and
transfering firing data considering meteorogical
and ballistic corrections and output it to the
gunlayer data display system (GDDS) devices.
Gun commander terminal can perform fire
missions independently as an individual gun.
Gunlayer's terminal
17. Gunlayer Data Display System (GDDS)
GDDS devices are designed to obtain gun
targeting data from gun commander and to
display these data to the gunner. GDDS devices
are equipped with magnetic clamps which allow
them to be mounted on any place, suitable for
the gunner.
18. Network supply module (NSM) devices
NSM devices are designed to provide
communication for guns in firing positions as
well as for battery commander.
NSM for battery commander is equipped with
portable antenna and NSM for guns are mounted
on tripods.

Experience of using ArtOS
Automated gun fire control system was tested in the area of anti-terrorist operation by artillery units of the Armed
Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian National Guard (Berdychiv Artillery Brigade, Zaporizhia Artillery Brigade, Ternopil
Artillery Brigade, Severodonetsk Mechanized Brigade, Cherkasske Mechanized Brigade, Kryvyi Rih Tank Brigade and
National Academy of Land Forces), and has proved its worth and got positive feedback.
20. ArtOS complex passed Otfficial Tests and the respective Test Certificate was issued. Certificate
Approval Resolution was signed. The next step is to get the Resolution of the Ministry of Defense of
Ukraine on permitted use of ArtOS complex in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
21. MilStaff – is an artillery units staff managment
system. This software is installed on secure
device and features scalable user interface
which allow users to work on large screens with
ease. It's designed for combat operations
planning automation, artillery units control
during military operations, targeting and firing
