2. TNMC CREDIT HOURS FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS
1) Who all need to get credit hours ?
All practitioners less than 65 years
need 30 credit hours for 5 years slab.
65 – 70 years need 15 credit hours
Greater than 70 years – No need credit hours
(but need to obtain credit hrs for the tenure
less than 70 yrs on pro rate basis)

3. 2) In which slab we are right now ?
We are in 3rd slab of credit hours
accumulation (July 1st 2022 – May 31st 2027).
1st slab period – (July 1st 2012 – May 31st
2017).
2nd slab period - (July 1st 2017 – May 31st
2022).
3rd slab period - ( July 1st 2022 – May 31st
2027 ).

4. 3) How to compensate for 1st and 2nd slab
period credit hours requirement ?
1st slab period – most of
us were not aware of credit hours and unable
to fulfill the criteria.
TNMC gave an option of paying penalty for
deficit credit hours and nullify the minus credit
hours.
For those who have not done this deficit credit
hours have been carry forwarded to 2nd slab
period. Hence total requirement will be 30 +
30 = 60 hrs.

5. 4) What if 2nd slab credit hours
requirements are fulfilled but still
deficit due to lack of credit hours in 1st
slab period ?
If Cumulative credit hours are < 60
hours but > 30 hrs we are relatively safe.
There is no option for paying penalty for
deficit in 1st year slab period (similar to an
option given 5 years back).

6. 5) What will happen if credit hours criteria
is not fulfilled?
At one point of time we may not
be able to revalidate our TNMC
registration which have to be done once
in 5 years (The next revalidation date
falls on July 2025).
(There is a possibility to suspend
practice for 1 month in the current NMC
draft).

8. 6) How can we get credit hours?
1. By attending physical CME
which are conducted at IMA branch
level, State level and Specialty
conferences.
2. By attending Online CME
which are conducted at state level by
CGP and AMS wings, academic
committee of TNSB

9. 7) How to know if the program is
eligible for credit hours?
The program organizers will inform
upfront as applied for credit hours /
accredited with credit hours displaying
the accreditation certificate for the
program also indicating the number of
credit hours eligible.

10. 8) Who are TNMC observers?
TNMC will appoint observers for
each program who will observe the
program whether it is carried as per
application, look for any unethical
sponsors or advertisements, certify total
number of participants. The participants
will be awarded credit hours after
organizers upload the attendance sheet
as certified by the observer.

1. Click > Register Here (All individual applicants and Institutes can
create aTNMC account)
2. Select > Existing RMP [For Existing RMP - Those who have
registered in TNMC and obtained TNMC Registration
Numberbefore 05 January, 2020]

Enter your TNMC Registration number
1. Email Verification (You will get your user id and password to
your TNMC registered mail)

 Institute Name
 Institute official mail id and pass (to set) – For TNMC login
 Mobile number
 Select – Institute Type & State
 Enter Name of the Institute
 Head of Institution Name, Designation, TNMC registration
number, mail id
 Save and Proceed
 OTP will received in mail
 Enter then Login with mail id and pass

16. STEP 1 : BASIC DETAILS
 Name , Gender, Mobile number, DOB , Nationality .
 Upload recent color passport size photo with the light
or sky blue background ( Size 240 KB in JPEG format)
 Enter place of birth (State) and Aadhar number
 Upload aadhar - Each side to be scanned separately
and to be uploaded as a single PDF (Size 1 MB in PDF
format)

17. STEP 2 : INSTITUTE DETAILS
 Enter Association Registration number and Approved
by .
 Registration Certificate copy to upload (Size 1 MB in
PDF)
 Upload institute logo (Size 240 KB in png/.jpeg/.jpg
format)
 Enter General contact number and mail id

18. STEP 3 : HEAD OF INSTITUTE DETAILS
 Full name, Designation, TNMC Reg number, mail id
 Upload TNMC registration certificate (Size 1 MB in
PDF)

19. STEP 4 : COMMUNICATION DETAILS
