3. ・Question significance
A video of a TED talk showed humans playing chess against AI. Human
champions struggled against AI. AI has the potential to surpass even human
thinking. If AI surpasses human intelligence, we will have to rethink why we exist,
especially when it comes to working. This is because if AI develops, there is a
possibility that humans will no longer need to work. It is against this background
that I would like to consider this question.
4. connection with TED talk
● “Don't fear intelligent machines. Work with them” by Garry
Kasparov
● He thinks AI won’t steal
human jobs
● Why he thought this way
can help us get answering
our question
5. First Article : Don't fear intelligent machines. Work with them.
Major points this article
・People and AI both have different capabilities and strengths
・How do humans and artificial intelligence work together?
・The best human and the best computer are not always the best.
6. First Article : Don't fear intelligent machines. Work with them.
How it is related to the TED Talk video?
・The point where we believe that artificial intelligence should supplement people.
・The point where we believe that artificial intelligence and people can work together
to create augmented intelligence.
・The point of the experiment is to experiment with human and artificial intelligence
using board games.
7. First Article : Don't fear intelligent machines. Work with them.
How they helped answer your research question?
・We now know what position artificial intelligence should take over human
intelligence.
・We also found that by working with artificial intelligence, people can step into a new
kind of intelligence.
・It was found that efficiency is achieved when artificial intelligence and people work
together.
8. Second Article :Why Robots Might Not Want to Steal Your Job
by Peter Fleming in 2019.
Major points this article
● Jobs will soon disappear due to automation, with few new ones
replacing them.
● If work does not vanish in the age of AI, then poorly paid jobs will
most certainly proliferate.
● Jobs demanded by "public perception" will not disappear.
9. Second Article :Why Robots Might Not Want to Steal Your Job
by Peter Fleming in 2019
How it is related to the TED Talk video?
● they do not expect AI to take away our jobs.
● don't be afraid of AI automation.
10. Second Article :Why Robots Might Not Want to Steal Your Job
by Peter Fleming in 2019
How they helped answer your research question?
● There is a possibility that AI will affect jobs in the future
● But,the advent of AI will not increase unemployment
11. Third Article:Revisiting the risk of automation
Major points this article
・It is clear that the potential for automation is drawn in jobs that require influence
on others, such as programming, presentations, and training.
・Jobs with a high percentage of information exchange, sales, and finger and
hand tasks carry a higher risk of automation.
・Some workers simply need to adjust their jobs, while others actually lose theirs.
12. Third Article:Revisiting the risk of automation
How it is related to the TED Talk video?
・The TED talk showed that chess champions are struggling against AI and there
is concern that AI will surpass human intelligence, but that humans are more
effective in jobs that require influence over others.
・Certainly, advances in AI technology and automation will enrich our lives, but
there are many jobs that cannot be done without human sensitivity.
13. Third Article:Revisiting the risk of automation
How they helped answer your research question?
・I think it will change with AI because AI is more efficient in jobs that require the
use of hands and monotonous work.
・We have found that AI cannot replace humans in jobs that have a strong impact
on others or require sensitivity.
・AI and humans have found that they can be more efficient if they work together
to compensate for each other's shortcomings, rather than trying to leave
everything to one side or the other.
14. Discussion and Implications of Research Question
How is it considered and useful?
Artificial intelligence has the potential to exceed human intelligence, which was
thought to be a replacement for human function, but this is not the case, and
artificial intelligence and people working together can create further intelligence
and be useful.
15. Advantage over humans
It is more beneficial for mankind to have AI and humans
working together than to have AI and humans working against
each other. For example, humans are in charge of coming up
with new ideas for humans. It means that AI will take care of
complex or large amount of data processing. It is important to
coexist while compensating for each other's strengths and
weaknesses.
16. Conclusion
As stated in the three papers, humans and AI should work
together to improve productivity, rather than competing for jobs.
