5. ODP Program Purpose
Identify and provide opportunities for high potential
players, facilitate their development, and expose them
to the next level in their pathway.
6. Player Standards
● Respect for each other and staff
● Arrive at fields 30-45 minutes prior to training and games
● No cups will be provided all players must bring a filled water bottle. Additional water will be
located at the fields
● Responsible for keeping up with the schedule changes
● All players have been asked to bring a properly inflated ball
7. Parents Standards
● Attend games and training in the parent section
● Encourage the players to understand that this is a learning environment and
game results are not important
● Coaches will release the players at conclusion of session, parents cannot take
them early
● Ensure that players are on time and attend all meeting
● Do not make assumptions of placement. Players are placed in teams at random

Player need to show up to the field assigned to them 30 min prior to training

Training 4:30pm-7:30pm (Two time slots)

July 10th/11th
Game 8:00am - 12:45pm (Three time slots)

Training Expectation Games Expectation
*Training Objectives:
Attacking build up to create chances
Transition to Defense
Defending disrupting the build up
Transition to Attack
*Training Structure:
- Warm up: Let each team create their active warm up
-Activity 1: 4v4 40x30
-Activity 2: 7v7 - Half field
-Activity 3: 11v11 - full field vs. opponent team
-Manage the Training Load and Numbers
-GK need to be involved in every activity
*Team Building Exercise:
Forming - Getting to know each each other and setting expectations
Create Team building exercises for each day
*Introduce players to self reflection:
- have players fill out a self reflection (individually or in small groups)
*20 minute Warm up related to the objectives of the previous
training day
*Players will play a full halve
*Engage players during the game and coach from the sidelines
when needed
*Players in the bench take every opportunity to learn
*Manage fatigue and injuries with conversation with coaches
*Players that have qualified to Nationals ensure that those
manage their load correctly
