2. Clarke’s Definition of Self Concept
Clarke, (1998;35) define self
concept as
 the way we see ourselves.
 The way we see ourselves might be
different from the way other people see
us.
 To some we might be clever, intelligent,
beautiful and successful, but we may feel
unintelligent or useless, ugly, or not liked.
You may think that your friend is beautiful
or cute, whereas he /she thinks that he or
she is ugly or not handsome.
 NB* Self-concept, the way we view
ourselves and not what other people say
about us.
