3. What is STaR Chart? It’s a tool that allows campus’ to create and assess goals on increasing the incorporation of technology into student learning. More information can be found at http://starchart.esc12.net
4. How are campus’ evaluated using StaR chart? Both teacher and campus STaR charts are broken down into 4 key areas: Teaching & Learning Educator Preparation & Development Leadership, Administration, & Instructional Support Infrastructure for Technology
5. The 4 key areas are further broken down into: Early Tech Developing Tech Advanced Tech Target Tech *It is the goal of the nation, state, and our district to ultimately move into the target tech area.
6. Where does our school fit in? The STaR chart provides yearly data on the progress of each campus toward incorporating technology into student learning (see handout for 2008-2009 breakdown).
7. What can we take away from this? While our campus is improving there are many things we can do to move to our target goals for incorporating technology. Brainstorm in your groups and develop 2 strategies you will present to the group to increase the incorporation of technology in the classroom.
