1. Let’s start with a few definitions:


   a) Mistletoe: Is a plant that if you if you pass below fall in love with a
   guy or girl to him or her.
   b) Christmas Carol: It is a song that is sung on Christmas that talks
   about Christmas facts.
   c) Candy cane: It is a rod-shaped candy.
   d) Boxing Day: Boxing Day is traditionally the day following Christmas
   Day, when servants and trades people would receive gifts from their
   superiors or employers
   e) Father Christmas: Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father
   Christmas and simply "Santa", is a figure with legendary, mythical,
   historical and folkloric origins who, in many western cultures, is said to
   bring gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening
   and overnight hours of Christmas Eve, December 24.


2. Now compare Boxing Day with San Steve : (write the main differences):

   Boxing Day is a holiday of peculiarly British origin, but in most years it falls on
   the same day as the Feast of St. Stephen (St. Stephen's Day - 26th
   December).
       -   The two holidays of Boxing Day and St. Stephen match the 26th of
           December after Christmas.


3. Why do English people have a Christmas Tree?


   Because The Christmas tree became popular in England in 1841 when
   Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, brought a Christmas tree over
   from Germany and put it in Windsor Castle. The Royal couple were
   illustrated in a newspaper standing around the Christmas tree with
   their children, and the tradition of decorating a tree became
   fashionable.

   the Second World War, King Haakon of Norway was forced into exile in
   England when the Germans occupied his country. Since 1947, Norway
   has expressed its thanks for the help of the British people by
   continuing to send a huge Norwegian spruce to be shared by all.
