2. What is a Medical Internship?
• 12-months period.
• Rotations.
• Pass/ Fail.
• Transition period.
• The skills you gain and develop in this period will stay with
you for the rest of your career.
3. Doctor !, embrace your role.
• Behave, Dress, Think like one.
• Main goal is to learn how to manage patients.
• Know your patients and prepared to present them at any
time.
• Remember that you are taking care of people, be the
doctor you want to take care of you.
4. Be on time.
• Punctuality is an important quality of a doctor.
• First to come, last to leave.
• If running late, call and explain.
5. When you make a mistake
• Don’t hide it.
• Be Honest, and NEVER lie!
• Fix it.
6. Know the basics of the rotation you're in
• Physiology/ Anatomy.
• Approach.
• Management of simple cases.
