This document provides results from the 2013 Peruvian Swimming Federation Championships held from October 10-13, 2013. It includes results from events in the 400m freestyle, 200m backstroke, and 100m butterfly for girls ages 13-14, 15-17 and boys ages 13-14, 15-17. Time results are provided for each swimmer in each event, including their placement and final time. Meet records, national records and championship records are also included for comparison for each event.
I have started the journey from 2011/2012. What have I explored? Mainly problems, of course. How do a non- math person enjoy "math"? Here are some snapshots on last Saturday's talk. You are welcome to join the journey.
The document summarizes workshops and exhibits held by Helen Yu from 2014-2016 to teach paper folding using geometric solids. Some of the events included Zometool workshops, a workshop on elevations and stellations at the 2015 Bridges Conference, exhibits at the Dutch Design Week and Academia Sinica Open House Day in 2015, and Imaginary exhibits in various Taiwanese cities in 2016. Templates were created for folding platonic solids and their variations to demonstrate geometric concepts through interactive paper models.
Computer Science and Sculpture (CSE325)- George Hart筱嵐 余
This document discusses 20th and 21st century sculpture that incorporates polyhedral forms. It provides examples of sculptors who have explored spatial concepts using platonic solids as fundamental ideas, freeing sculpture from representational constraints. It poses questions to consider for each sculptural work, such as the underlying polyhedral form, materials, techniques, and how computer technology could be used. Examples of specific sculptors and their works incorporating polyhedra are also provided.
This document lists numerous architectural firms, model making companies, educational institutions, and other organizations that use Trotec lasers for applications like cutting materials like wood, acrylic, and cardboard to produce architectural models, prototypes, signage, and other projects. Specific companies highlighted include famous architecture firms like Foster + Partners, various universities and their uses of Trotec lasers for student projects, and model/kit producers. Materials worked with lasers include wood, acrylic, paper, cardboard, plastics and the laser machines referenced are various Trotec Speedy and Rayjet models.

Taipei teaching a course on mathematics in art and architecture筱嵐 余
This document summarizes a talk about teaching a course on mathematics in art and architecture. It discusses using polyhedral models, frieze and wallpaper patterns, and perspective in paintings to teach mathematical concepts. Specifically, it provides instructions for making paper and plastic models of polyhedra for teaching purposes. It also analyzes symmetry patterns in Ming pottery and discusses the mathematical techniques artists like Vermeer may have used, such as a camera obscura, and challenges in reconstructing their techniques. The talk aims to demonstrate how mathematics appears throughout art and how these topics can be taught to enrich students' lives.
