Captain David planned to steal treasure from Blackbeard, the meanest pirate in the world, who had put the treasure on display at a museum. When Captain David tried to take the treasure, a fight broke out where Captain David was punched and fainted but later woke up determined to continue fighting. Captain David used special powers like "fireballs" and was eventually able to defeat Blackbeard with a secret bomb, allowing Captain David to live happily ever after with the treasure.

The students also enjoyed gymnastics, saw Anthony show his strength, and prepared to film themselves singing a Wiggles tune using a green screen. In cooking, they made pretzel butterflies.

Working in teams, students from Grade 2 worked with our Grade 3 and 4 students as part of their transition day into their new learning POD for 2013.
Cars in the garage

Shapes come in many forms. Circles are round with no corners while squares have four equal sides. Triangles have three sides and angles and can be equilateral, isosceles, or scalene.
Design And Making With
Today we read a great book titled, 'The boy who built a boat'. This great book sparked some great discussion and inspired the kids to want to build something of their own. We began with a sketched design and written plan and then moved onto the construction phase. The resulting writing, conversations and constructions were fantastic. Well done Troops
Cow Day
As part of the Picaso Cow project our school cow visited our classroom for a day. We read 'Belinda' by Pamela Allen, designed cow art and did a fun maths lesson counting cows legs under fences.
Games Day – What A Treat!
Games Day was a fun event. Students enjoyed playing many different games together such as soccer, basketball, and board games. It was a great opportunity for the children to socialize and be active on their day off from school.
