The children came to school dressed as their favourite sports star and created an Olympic village - complete with sporting arenas.

With over 11,000 athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees competing, China topped the medal table for the first time ever. Team Philippines competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London with its smallest delegation since 1936, consisting of 11 athletes across 8 sports. Lightflyweight boxer Mark Barriga defeated his opponent in the first round but was then eliminated in the round of 16 by a single point.
