This document provides a rubric to evaluate the effectiveness of YouTube as a curriculum resource. It rates YouTube on a scale from poor to excellent in 4 categories: relatability to curriculum, ease of use by instructors, effectiveness in teaching, and design/aesthetics/navigation. To receive an excellent rating, YouTube would need to have a direct relationship to curriculum content, be easy for instructors to navigate, be effective for interactive teaching, and have an appealing visual design with good balance and accessibility.
