The World Karate Federation is reminding all member national federations that all athletes intending to compete in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018 must be registered in the Buenos Aires accreditation system by their corresponding National Olympic Committee by May 24th, 2018. This registration is mandatory for athletes to qualify through either the Olympic standing or qualification tournaments. Athletes not registered by the deadline will be removed from qualification considerations. National federations should contact their National Olympic Committees if they have not received information about registering athletes to ensure any potential competitors have their required accreditation IDs by the registration deadline of May 4th, 2018 for the qualification tournament in Umag, Croatia.

Accreditation System Registration Reminder
Dear Sirs,
Following our communication last 20th December 2017, we would like to remind you about an important
fact for your athletes meeting the eligibility criteria to participate in the Youth Olympic Games of Buenos
Aires 2018 (YOG 2018):
ALL ATHLETES THAT INTEND TO COMPETE IN THE YOG 2018
MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE ACCREDITATION SYSTEM OF BUENOS AIRES
BY THEIR CORRESPONDING NATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE (NOC)
BEFORE 24TH
OF MAY 2018
This requirement applies to ALL POTENTIAL ATHLETES that may qualify for the YOG, regardless on
the phase of the Qualification System (Olympic Standing, Qualification Tournament, etc.)

The Organising Committee of Buenos Aires has sent very specific guidelines to each National Olympic
Committee indicating them how to properly register each potential participating athlete who may
represent them. Once the NOC completes the registration on the Buenos Aires Accreditation System,
each athlete will obtain a unique 7 digits Accreditation number (Accreditation ID), which will be
mandatory to register for the Qualification Tournament next 29th and 30th June in Umag (Croatia).
Athletes NOT registered in the Buenos Aires Accreditation System by 24th
May:
- Will be removed from the Olympic Standing that will be published on 01.06.2018
- Will NOT be accepted to register in the YOG Qualification Tournament in Umag
If your NF has not received any related information from your corresponding National Olympic
Committee on this regard, please do not hesitate to contact them as soon as possible and in any case
well before the 4th
of May 2018, opening date for the registration in the Qualification Tournament in
Umag, to ensure that every athlete is in possession of their Accreditation ID.
