Based on WHO, Indonesia is included in the list of countries that have experienced an extremely high increase
in Covid-19 cases. In South-east Asia after India, Indonesia has a large and cumulative number of deaths is
71.397 and deaths newly reported in last 24 hours is 1.205
• According to the data of the National Economic and COVID-19 Recovery Committee as of

the total recorded cases.
• The COVID-19 cases among children also have risen sharply to 315,978 cases as by July 11,
2021, included 707 death cases (Source: Ministry of Education and Culture). The confirmed
case among 7-11 years old group and 16-18 years group are higher than another group as
shown in the below graph.
• The Chairman of the Indonesian Pediatric Association (IDAI) also acknowledged that
Indonesia is the highest case of COVID-19 in children in the world. That is evident from the
number of deaths of toddlers during the pandemic which increased by almost 50 percent.
