- #4 TIME principles is a useful method of wound bed assessment. It is also useful to determine the underlying pathophysiology, management strategy an determine outcome. For wound bed assessment we need to assess non viable tissue presence of infection and inflammation, moisture imbalance and also wound edge. Which is the 3rd component of wound assessment.
