I. Event Goals and Objectives
 Maintaining brand integrity.
 Creating positive experiences and enhancing relationships.
 Generating a greater presence for Wolfie, Stony Brook University and Stony Brook
Athletics through a festive annual “Birthday Celebration.”
 To create spirit, pride, and awareness within the campus community.
II. Birthday Celebration Themes and Promotions (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014)
2011
 Wolfie's Super Swaggerin' 16th Birthday Bash – February 12, 2011
 Wolfie celebrated his 16th birthday in style at the Stony Brook Arena. Many of
his close mascot friends from Long Island and New York were in attendance.
 Stony Brook Weekend Life sponsored 1,000 cupcakes after the men's game to fans
in attendance.
 Student Tailgate
 Free breakfast, sponsored by Stony Brook Weekend Life.
 Free Unity in Diversity t-shirts, sponsored by Undergraduate Student
Government.
 Live bands and DJ.
 Free giveaways from Stony Brook Athletics corporate partners – Best Buy, and
Sprint.
2012
 Wolfie’s 17th Birthday Celebration – February 8 & 9, 2012
 For Wolfie's 17th birthday, Stony Brook Athletics hosted a birthday bash during
two home basketball games! Fans who attended each game enjoyed free cupcakes
and other tasty treats at halftime.

o 20% off all Stony Brook logo merchandise February 8-9.

 Wolfie’s 18th Birthday Celebration – February 15, 2013
 For Wolfie's 18th birthday, Stony Brook Athletics hosted a birthday bash the
home men’s basketball game vs. Vermont!
 In-Game Promotions
o TVs for TV: An LCD TV was given away every 4 minutes during the
Stony Brook men’s basketball game.

2013, and 2014 Best of Long Island Competition (Run annually by the Long Island
Press).
 Participated in ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition Episode Taping on Long
Island (June 2010)
 Photo Albums & Video Clips-Fairs, festivals, charity walks, local school visits, etc.
 Wolfie has become an icon for Stony Brook University within the local community,
further developing a stronger town-gown relationship. He serves as the true “face” of
the University.

Event Goals and Objectives  Maintaining brand integrity.  Creating positive experiences and enhancing relationships.  Generating a greater presence for Wolfie, Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Athletics through a festive annual “Birthday Celebration.”  To create spirit, pride, and awareness within the campus community. Birthday Celebration Themes and Promotions (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014) 2011  Wolfie's Super Swaggerin' 16th Birthday Bash – February 12, 2011  Wolfie celebrated his 16th birthday in style at the Stony Brook Arena. Many of his close mascot friends from Long Island and New York were in attendance.  Stony Brook Weekend Life sponsored 1,000 cupcakes after the men's game to fans in attendance.  Student Tailgate  Free breakfast, sponsored by Stony Brook Weekend Life.  Free Unity in Diversity t-shirts, sponsored by Undergraduate Student Government.  Live bands and DJ.  Free giveaways from Stony Brook Athletics corporate partners – Best Buy, and Sprint. 2012  Wolfie’s 17th Birthday Celebration – February 8 & 9, 2012  For Wolfie's 17th birthday, Stony Brook Athletics hosted a birthday bash during two home basketball games! Fans who attended each game enjoyed free cupcakes and other tasty treats at halftime.  On-Campus Promotions  Stony Brook University Bookstore o 20% off all Stony Brook logo merchandise February 8-9.  Seawolves MarketPlace o Get a FREE mini cupcake with the purchase of any coffee. 2013  Wolfie’s 18th Birthday Celebration – February 15, 2013  For Wolfie's 18th birthday, Stony Brook Athletics hosted a birthday bash the home men’s basketball game vs. Vermont!  In-Game Promotions o TVs for TV: An LCD TV was given away every 4 minutes during the Stony Brook men’s basketball game.
