Evaluation of the software architecture styles from maintainability viewpointcsandit
In the process of software architecture design, different decisions are made that have systemwide
impact. An important decision of design stage is the selection of a suitable software
architecture style. Lack of investigation on the quantitative impact of architecture styles on
software quality attributes is the main problem in using such styles. So, the use of architecture
styles in designing is based on the intuition of software developers. The aim of this research is
to quantify the impacts of architecture styles on software maintainability. In this study,
architecture styles are evaluated based on coupling, complexity and cohesion metrics and
ranked by analytic hierarchy process from maintainability viewpoint. The main contribution of
this paper is quantification and ranking of software architecture styles from the perspective of
maintainability quality attribute at stage of architectural style selection.

Cet article tente d'appliquer les principes de théorie économique au cas de la télévision par câble en France. A l'aide des méthodes d'analyse sectorielle de Michael Porter, il établit un bilan des forces concurrentielles qui exercent dans l'ensemble, en 1996, une pression peu importante sur le secteur des câblo-opérateurs. Cette analyse met à jour un important dérèglement des mécanismes concurrentiels : les câblo-opérateurs sont des monopoles locaux dont les prix ne sont pas réglementés, la concurrence des autres supports multicanaux est limitée alors que celle, forte, de la télévision hertzienne semble n'exercer aucune pression sur les prix des câble-opérateurs, les autorisations exclusives d'exploitation de réseaux câblés annullent toute menace d'entrée potentielle, le pouvoir de négociation des chaînes non intégrées verticalement est faible et les abonnés subissent les comportements monopolistiques des grands opérateurs. Une meilleure efficacité et un meilleur développement du marché du câble pourraient provenir théoriquement de l'introduction d'une concurrence frontale, d'une réglementation des prix des câblo-opérateurs et du développement d'une concurrence exercée par d'autres supports de distribution multicanaux.

3) The role of the EU in supporting science, research, and innovation through programs like Horizon 2020 while also stimulating interaction between national and regional AKIS through the European Innovation Partnership.
4) Conclusions from the working group that more can be done to incentivize responsive research and support cross-border collaboration in innovation.
