Michigan, the school he served at.
William did amazingly well in sports, won
many awards cause of his speed and jumps.
William also took the education given to him
seriously.
Hubbard set new records for Michigan nearly
every race.
3. Winner of the Big Ten Championship SEVEN

Was the first African American to win gold (in
the Olympics) in Paris 1924.
Hubbards speed took the African Americans
new hope in becoming equal.
4. After Deharts amazing carrier in the track
and field, he took the job of supervisor of
the Department of Colored Work for the
Cincinnati Public Commission. From there
Dehart worked hard to get the rights that
were not available to them. Deharts time
and record was soon beaten by Jessie Owns.
