Will Smith was born in West Philadelphia and raised in Germantown. He achieved early fame as a rapper known as The Fresh Prince in the late 1980s. His popularity increased when he starred in the hit TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 1990 to 1996. Smith later found huge box office success in numerous blockbuster films in the 1990s and 2000s, becoming the only actor with eight consecutive films grossing over $100 million domestically. He married actress Jada Pinkett Smith in 1997 and they have two children together.
