Tim Martin creates wildlife carvings from wood such as tupelo and juniper. He spends time observing birds to accurately depict their forms, poses, and behaviors in his carvings. Some of the birds he has carved include hawks, ducks, kingbirds, and sparrows. He also carves fish like trout, paying close attention to details and using different techniques like painting with auto paints. His goal is to tell a story with each unique carving and experiment with new ideas and styles, such as making bases look like natural rocks.
