This report from Project HealthDesign details the themes and challenges the project’s five research teams have experienced as they’ve worked with patients to capture observations of daily living (ODLs) and integrate the resulting data into clinical care.
Phisical treatments in Vitiligo - Prof. Lotti Torello, MDVR Foundation
Melanocytes are not completely absent in the depigmented epidermis
Comment:
A subpopulation of “resistant” epidermal melanocytes can persist independent of disease duration
Repigmentation can always occur independent of disease duration and with non-perifollicular pattern
This presentation shows that doctors are increasingly using mobile health for:
•Mobile, text and video-based consultations
•Patient monitoring
•Accessing patient data
•Explaining to patients their conditions and medical information
•Increased efficiency, for example saving time in receiving test results or consulting with colleagues or administration.
However for many m-Health is changing the doctor-patient relationship. The doctors’ traditional role is being disrupted while patients are becoming more independent and more active in managing their own healthcare.

The presentation shows how the eHealth market and Health 2.0 is developing in Poland. It's as well a good context and background for those who are interested in eHealth market in Poland. The main question that I tried to answer making this presentation was: how Internet has became an important part of creating high quality in the health care system in Poland? The slideshow was prepared for Health 2.0 conference in Berlin (6-7 November 2012).
In late 2010, John Moore of the Chilmark Research blog - heralded mobile technology as a looming “disruptive” force in modern healthcare. “And with disruption, opportunity blooms
HIPAA Security Rule Compliance When Communicating with Patients Using Mobile ...Project HealthDesign
This webinar, held Jan. 26, 2011, served to inform and engage the five current Project HealthDesign teams around legal and policy topics involved when clinicians communicate with patients via mobile devices.
Realize preventive medicine through predictive risk profiling, determining baseline markers of wellness and variability, and engaging in personalized pre-clinical interventions
Health Futures: Participatory Medicine and Crowdsourced Research StudiesMelanie Swan
There are numerous participatory health initiatives underway ranging from light-touch to heavy engagement including social media, mobile health applications, personal health records, consumer genomics, health social networks, and crowdsourced health studies. Crowdsourced health studies are emerging as an important new investigatory tool in a multi-tier research ecosystem that includes quantified self-experimentation, participant-organized studies, and traditional researcher-led clinical trials. Accessing crowdsourced cohorts for health studies is a significant emerging opportunity that could have a positive impact on public health research, particularly as outcomes are shifting to the personalized, preventive medicine of the future.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will have a profound effect in transforming healthcare and bridging the historical gap of information asymmetry between the healthcare ecosystem and people
