Wholesome TV Viewing
Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
C: Recognize the importance of wholesome TV Viewing as one of the
educating agents of family.
A: Choose wholesome TV Viewing as one of the educating agents of family
wisely and effectively.
B: Cite ways on how to be a media smart family.
Wholesome TV Viewing
Activity: (Values Clarification)
Directions:
The teacher will show six (6) pictures of TV programs that the students
need to identify according o the three (3) categories.
(TV Programs:
Art Angel, Honesto, My Husband’s Lover, Gandang Gabi Vice, Super Book,
It’s Showtime)
Three Categories:
Suited for all audience
Need guidance
Strictly guidance needed
The students will stand and do the following for every category they
choose.
 suited for all audience – clap 3 times
 need guidance – hands on their waist
 strictly guidance needed – cover their eyes with their hands
Analysis:
1. Do you agree that these TV programs are placed on the right
category? Why or why not?
2. Are you familiar with theses TV Programs? Why?
3. Are you influenced with the TV programs that you watch? How?
4. Who are with you when you watch those TV programs?

5. In your family do you choose TV programs that you watch? Why?
6. What would be the possible effect if TV Programs are not rated
accordingly and family won’t come in to guide?
7. Do you think it is important that family is there to guide in wholesome
TV viewing? Why?
