IELTS is the International English Language Testing System used globally to assess English proficiency for study, work or migration. It is recognized by over 9,000 organizations worldwide including universities, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies. IELTS has two versions - Academic for tertiary education and General Training for work or migration - with different reading and writing components but the same listening and speaking tests. The exam consists of four parts testing listening, reading, writing and speaking skills over a total time of 2 hours and 45 minutes.
