මමය processor එක තුල පවතින තාවකාලික මතකයකි. එක
විට වැඩි උපමෙස් ප්‍රමාණයක් processor එක මවත ලබා දුන්
විට මෙවත් එකවර කාර්යයන් කිහිපයක් කරන සමෙර
අවස්ථාවලදී processor එකට එය ෙරා ගත මනොෙැකිව
ක්ෂණිකව ක්‍රියා විරහිත මවයි. මෙවත් stuck මවයි. වැඩි cache
memory එකක් processor එක සතුව ඇත්නම් මමය සිදු
මනොමේ. එවිට එක විට ලබා මෙන උපමෙස් cache memory
එක තුළ මතකමේ තබාමගන (buffer) ඒවා එකින් එක
ක්‍රමවත්ව processor එක මවත ලබාමෙයි.
සංචිත මතක මට්ටම් 3ක් තිමේ.
Three types of Cache Memory
1. Level 1 Cache Memory
ඉතාමත් මේගවත්ම මට්ටම වන්මන් මමම
මට්ටමයි. ඒ නිසා මමහි ෙත්ත processor එකට ගමන්
කිරීමට ෙත්ත බසය (data bus) භාවිතා මනොකරයි.
මමමගින් processor එකට අවශ්‍ය ෙත්ත පමණක්
සපයන අතරම මමය ප්‍රධාන මතකයට වඩා මේගවත්ය.
2. Level 2 Cache Memory
මමය motherboard එමක් පිහිටා ඇති විට ෙත්ත
යැවීමට ෙත්ත බසය භාවිතා කරන අතර තරමක් මේගය
අඩු මවයි. නමුත් ප්‍රධාන මතකයට වඩා මේගවත් මවයි.
මමමගින් Level 1 Cache Memory එකට අවශ්‍ය ෙත්ත
ලබාමෙයි.
3. Level 3 Cache Memory
මමයෙ motherboard එමක් පිහිටා ඇති විට ෙත්ත
යැවීමට ෙත්ත බසය භාවිතා කරන අතර තරමක් මේගය

  • 10. සංචිත මතකය (Cache Memory) මමය processor එක තුල පවතින තාවකාලික මතකයකි. එක විට වැඩි උපමෙස් ප්‍රමාණයක් processor එක මවත ලබා දුන් විට මෙවත් එකවර කාර්යයන් කිහිපයක් කරන සමෙර අවස්ථාවලදී processor එකට එය ෙරා ගත මනොෙැකිව ක්ෂණිකව ක්‍රියා විරහිත මවයි. මෙවත් stuck මවයි. වැඩි cache memory එකක් processor එක සතුව ඇත්නම් මමය සිදු මනොමේ. එවිට එක විට ලබා මෙන උපමෙස් cache memory එක තුළ මතකමේ තබාමගන (buffer) ඒවා එකින් එක ක්‍රමවත්ව processor එක මවත ලබාමෙයි.

  • 12. 1. Level 1 Cache Memory ඉතාමත් මේගවත්ම මට්ටම වන්මන් මමම මට්ටමයි. ඒ නිසා මමහි ෙත්ත processor එකට ගමන් කිරීමට ෙත්ත බසය (data bus) භාවිතා මනොකරයි. මමමගින් processor එකට අවශ්‍ය ෙත්ත පමණක් සපයන අතරම මමය ප්‍රධාන මතකයට වඩා මේගවත්ය.
  • 13. 2. Level 2 Cache Memory මමය motherboard එමක් පිහිටා ඇති විට ෙත්ත යැවීමට ෙත්ත බසය භාවිතා කරන අතර තරමක් මේගය අඩු මවයි. නමුත් ප්‍රධාන මතකයට වඩා මේගවත් මවයි. මමමගින් Level 1 Cache Memory එකට අවශ්‍ය ෙත්ත ලබාමෙයි.
