In the first session of Full Stack Bootcamp Graphic Design class, we learned
about few points that we need to know for the fundamentals of graphic
design.
We need to know about the key points how to design and present it for the
target audiences of the brand. That is why it is called design communicative
visual, because it is all about the market wants.

DESIGN
PRINCIPLES
Unity
The principle of unity in composition are all parts of the form must be are related to
each other.
Balance
Element of balance design includes shape, texture, value, size, and color and it
applies both are in vertical and horizontal.
Proportion
Principle proportion is a comparison of sizes used to help compare length and width,
between the image and the field he picture.
Rhythm
The principle of rhythm is centred on the visual repetition of patterns, by
recurrence, continuity or organised movement. By repeating colour, pattern, texture
and shapes throughout a space

PRINCIPLES
Contrast
Contrast is created from different things, this difference can be seen from
the color and size differences
Harmony
The concepts of balance, alignment, unity, and relationship to make design
components work seamlessly together
Emphasis
Emphasis is what designers use to draw the eye of the reader to specific
elements
BRANDMARK AND LOGO

It is often a combination of text
and imagery that is designed to
be unique and recognizable.
Brandmarks typically do not include text,
unlike logos which often include a logotype
(text) along with the symbol or icon.

In this session also we know that colors can affect
our psychology toward the brands.
For the example McDonald’s logo have a yellow
color, it can be represent as a happiness, youth,
cheerful, fun, joy.
So, when people think about McDonald the will see
the brand as a happy and fun place to go.

INTRODUCTION TO
In the next session we were all introduced by an Adobe software
named Adobe Illustrator. This is my first time using it and we
were getting to know the basic tools of the aplication. I found
this application is very usefull when we want go deep more in
design industry. Those basic tools are like pentool, selection
tool.
Also there are two types of color mode, RGB and CMYK. When
we want to design something for digital purposes we can use
RGB and if it is for printing purposes we use CMYK color mode.
Not just basic Adobe Illustrator tools, in this session we were
learned about the techniques also, for instance using
pathfinder, clipping mask, making a vector, color gradient,
making multiple canvas and grouping layers.

The next session we were taught about typography. When we
creating design or logo we need to take attention about the font
that we were using also. Different font style can be diferrent
meaning and target audience too.
What I took notes from this session our logo no need to be too
literal with the brand name or product, dynamic also the important
one was memorable, like when we see that logo, we instantly know
what the product and the brand.
At the middle of the class we had an assignment, which was
creating our logo based the case that we got. This was my very first
using Adobe Illustration and creating logo, far from good or
perfect, but I enjoyed every session of this class

The last class of this week we learned about first image
tracing. Image tracing is to copy and recreate the existing
object (logo, font, or picture). This tool and technique were
best for logos and fonts. Also not really recommended for
pictures of 3D arts.
Next we learned about making 3D fonts and pattern. These
two elements I reckon is really important in the design world.
It can make our design more attractive and shine out more.
I believe what I learned in this session can enhanced my
design and Adobe Illustrator skills, also I can be more
creative and expanded my knowledge in the design world.

  • 9. In the next session we were all introduced by an Adobe software named Adobe Illustrator. This is my first time using it and we were getting to know the basic tools of the aplication. I found this application is very usefull when we want go deep more in design industry. Those basic tools are like pentool, selection tool. Also there are two types of color mode, RGB and CMYK. When we want to design something for digital purposes we can use RGB and if it is for printing purposes we use CMYK color mode. Not just basic Adobe Illustrator tools, in this session we were learned about the techniques also, for instance using pathfinder, clipping mask, making a vector, color gradient, making multiple canvas and grouping layers. When we creating design or logo we need to take attention about the font that we were using also. Different font style can be diferrent meaning and target audience too. What I took notes from this session our logo no need to be too literal with the brand name or product, dynamic also the important one was memorable, like when we see that logo, we instantly know what the product and the brand. At the middle of the class we had an assignment, which was creating our logo based the case that we got. This was my very first using Adobe Illustration and creating logo, far from good or perfect, but I enjoyed every session of this class The result of my assignment in this session

  • 13. Full Stack Bootcamp Graphic Design #12 1st Learning Material 12 The last class of this week we learned about first image tracing. Image tracing is to copy and recreate the existing object (logo, font, or picture). This tool and technique were best for logos and fonts. Also not really recommended for pictures of 3D arts. Next we learned about making 3D fonts and pattern. These two elements I reckon is really important in the design world. It can make our design more attractive and shine out more. I believe what I learned in this session can enhanced my design and Adobe Illustrator skills, also I can be more creative and expanded my knowledge in the design world.
