a long trip. These getaways help in getting away from

especially for such weekend getaways from the city.
Nag Tibba
Duration: 2 days (3 days for a more relaxed trip) 
Starting Point: Dehradun, Uttarakhand 
About: One of the easiest treks in the Himalayas which takes you above 
3,000 meters. The trek to Nag Tibba is around 13 km and starts from 
Devalsari going through dense mountainous forests rich in flora and fauna 
and offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. 
Brief Itinerary: 
Day 1: Dehradun to Devalsari via Mussoorie and trek to Nag Tibba. 
Overnight camp. 
Day 2: Descend to Pantwari, then from Pantwari drive down to Dehradun.
Triund Trek
Duration: 2/3 days 
Starting Point: Dharamshala 
About: Located 18 km from Dharamshala, Triund is a short and easy grade 
trek with well defined trails and provides breathtaking view of snow 
covered peaks of Dhauladhar on one side and of Kangra Valley on the 
other. The ascent is about 1100 meters and goes through scenic 
Rhododendron and Oak forest. 
Brief Itinerary: 
Day 1: Trek from McLeodganj to Triund. Overnight camp there. 
Day 2: Trek from Triund to Lahesh caves and back to Dharamshala via 
McLeodganj.
Lamadug- Khanpari Trail
Duration: 3 days 
Starting point: Manali, Himachal Pradesh 
About: This is an easy trek to Lamadug meadows above Manali and is perfect 
for the beginners and first timers. Lamadug meadow is around 6 km walk from 
Manali and Khanpari is another 5 km from Lamadug. During the trek, one can 
witness the snow covered Himalayan peaks -Dhauladar and Pir Panjal Mountain 
range and also the Kullu valley in their full splendor as we pass through the 
mixed forest of Cedar, Walnut, Chestnut and Maple. 
Brief Itinerary: 
Day 1: Trek from Manali to Lama Dug meadows 
Day 2: Lama Dug meadows to Khanpari Tibba and back to Lama Dug 
Day 3: Enjoy the views of Lama Dug meadows till lunch and then hike back 
downhill to Manali.
Tirthan Valley (Cycling)
Duration: 3 days 
Starting point: Manali, Himachal Pradesh 
About:The name of the valley is derived from the Tirthan river beside which the 
valley is situated. This is a place where one can completely forget the rest of 
the world and dive in to the nature 
One can experience the cool mountain breeze against the face, the fresh 
fragrance of the forests and eye soothing greens of the trees & the blues of 
the skies. 
Brief Itinerary: 
Day 1: Arrive at Tirthan Valley from Manali. 
Day 2: Drive up to the Jalori pass, then ride downhill to Bhuntar. Drive to 
Manali. 
Day 3: Ride to Naggar village. Then drive back to Manali.
Chakrata
Duration: 3 days 
Starting Point: Dehradun, Uttarakhand 
About: Located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand between the banks of 
river Yamuna and Tons, Chakrata is a quiet and picturesque hill station 
From Chakrata, one can take an easy trek of about 5 km to the Tiger Falls 
which at 95 meters is one of the highest waterfalls in India. Trekkers can even 
have a bath under the falls which collects into a small pond below it. The area 
is not common with tourists and provides calm and peaceful getaway. 
Brief Itinerary: 
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Chakrata, hike to Tiger falls. Night at Chakrata 
campsite. 
Day 2: Explore Chakrata on Mountain bikes. Visit Kimona Falls. 
Day 3: Drive back to Dehradun
Beas Kund
Duration: 3 days 
Starting Point: Manali, Himachal Pradesh 
About: Beas Kund trek is one of the most beautiful and popular treks in 
Manali region. It is believed that Rishi Vyas used to take his daily bath here, 
hence it is regarded as sacred by the Hindus. Beas River originates from 
here. Beas Kund is 17 km from Manali. The trek has an overnight camp at 
Bakarthach. 
Brief Itinerary: 
Day 1: Drive from Manali - Solang - Dhundi, then trek to Bakerthach. Camp 
for the night. 
Day 2: Trek to Beas Kund and back to Bakerthach. 
Day 3: Trek from Bakerthach to Solang, drive back to Manali.
Bhrigu Lake
Duration: 3 days 
Starting Point: Manali, Himachal Pradesh 
About: The trek gives a panoramic view of Manali valley. It is said that Rishi 
Bhrigu used to meditate by this lake. One can witness the famous Himalayan 
peaks of Indrasan, Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, Makerbeh, Shikarbeh, Shitidhar, 
Friendship Peak, Khanpari and Ladakhi from here. This is trek will provide many 
spectacular views and is excellent for photography. 
Brief Itinerary: 
Day 1: Drive from Manali to Gulaba Meadows, then trek to Bhrigu Lake. 
Overnight camp. 
Day 2: Relax wander around Bhrigu Lake and enjoy the tranquility. Overnight 
Camp. 
Day 3: Trek from Bhrigu Lake to Vashisht Village and then to Manali.
Hamta Cirle Trek
Duration: 4 days 
Starting Point: Manali, Himachal Pradesh 
About: The trek starts from Jagatsukh village close to Manali with a climb 
through a dense forest. Above the tree line are the lush green meadows which 
have sparkling water streams running through them accompanied by 
spectacular views of the entire Kullu valley. One can walk across one of such 
streams, the water of which feels therapeutic on your legs. 
Brief Itinerary:Day 1: Short drive from Manali to Jagatsukh village, followed by 
a trek to a meadow area just above the village. Overnight camp. 
Day 2: From Jamri to Jogidug. Overnight camp. 
Day 3: From Jogidug descend to the Jobri campsite. 
Day 4: From Jobri to Aleo village, drive back to Manal.
Kareri Lake
Duration: 4 days 
Starting Point: Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh 
About: This beautiful trek is again an easy short trek which can be done by 
beginners/ trekking/ adventure enthusiasts. The lake is at an altitude of about 
3,300 meters and is fed by melting snow of the Dhauladhar peaks. It lies about 
9kms North West of Dharamshala. 
As the lake is shallow and its water source is fresh melting snow, the river bed 
is usually visible, so you can get those stunning mountain reflection pictures by 
the lake. 
Brief Itinerary: 
Day 1: Dharamshala to Kareri Village via Mcleodganj 
Day 2: Trek from Kareri village to Kareri Lake. 
Day 3: Trek back to Kareri village. 
Day 4: Back to Dharamshala.
