• Geographic datasets can be incomplete for some IP
addresses.
• Mobile web connections may not support
geolocation, and return null geographic.
• Anonymizing proxies, certain ISP architecture and
masked data could cause incorrect or null
geographic data to be returned.
Limitations of the MaxMind database
Common errors with the database
• Consider using larger scale geographic buckets as
opposed to smaller ones to better leverage caching.
Certain buckets are more cache-friendly
