Walter Elias Disney was born in 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. He began drawing at a young age and took art classes in Chicago. In 1923, Disney moved to Los Angeles and started the Walt Disney Company with his brother Roy. Their early productions included animated short films featuring Mickey Mouse. Disney later produced the highly successful animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. He married Lillian Bounds in 1925 and one of his greatest ideas was Disneyland theme park. Disney passed away in 1966 from lung cancer at age 65, but his company continued to thrive after his death.
