Pam Sandridge, a jazz dance veteran and Pilates instructor, noticed many women adopt poor posture when walking in high heels. In response, she created a workshop called "Heels to Go" to teach women how to walk properly in heels through exercises that improve core stability and alignment. The goal is for women to learn how to balance the risks and rewards of heels by gaining self-awareness of their bodies' response. Sandridge hopes women can safely "strut upright with beautiful posture" if they understand how to support their weight over their heels with a relaxed stance.
