Interesting facts about Wales The Capital of Wales is Cardiff, which is situated in the south of Wales. Wales has it’s own language called Welsh which is older than the english language Only 25% of welsh people speak welsh Wales’s patron Saint is called St. David and on March 1 st  every year welsh people celebrate this day .

Swansea   (my city) Swansea is situated is South Wales, 1 hour from Cardiff Swansea has lovely beaches and is good for surfing Catherine Zeta Jones is originally from Swansea, as is the singer of “Total eclipse of the heart” called Bonnie Tyler Swansea has good nightlife and there are lots of Bars and clubs all situated on 1 street.
Sport in Wales Football  and  Rugby  are the main sports in Wales. The Welsh rugby team are part of the “Six Nations” tournament along with England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy and France. The Welsh football team includes some famous footballers such as Ryan Giggs, Robbie Savage and Craig Bellamy. In Swansea football and rugby are very popular and we have a new Stadium called The Liberty stadium where the football team “Swansea City” and the rugby team “The Ospreys” play.
Swansea City and their Spanish links Jordi Gomez  is a footballer who plays for Swansea City but is on loan from RCD Espanol. He was born in Barcelona, and supports Barca football team. On  23 September , Gomez scored the winning goal against rivals  Cardiff City  in the first derby for seven years. Guillem Bauza  is another spanish footballer who now plays for Swansea City. He also used to play for Espanol. Gorka Pintado  is from San Sebastian. He used to play for Granada CF before joining Swansea City. Angel Rangel  is from Cataluna, and used to play for Catalunian side Terrassa FC. Andrea Orlandi is on loan from Barcelona FC. He has played many games for Barcelona B team and appeared in the 1 st  team 4 times. Our Manager  Roberto Martinez  used to play for Real Zaragoza in La Liga. He was born in 1973 and is 35 years old. In 2003 he joined Swansea City as a player,and on 21 st  Febuary 2007 he became our manager.
Sport The official stadium for all sports in Wales is called The Millennium Stadium which is situated in Cardiff. Swansea City football club are managed by a Spanish manager, called Roberto Martinez.
