The document describes a program called WOOFi Inc that unites at-risk youth and shelter dogs in need of training. The program will have groups of 5 shelter dogs and 3 volunteer dogs per session, with all dogs passing a temperament test and being in good health. At-risk youth between ages 11-19 from group homes, abuse/crime victims will participate and must have guardian permission. The goal is to inspire and build young lives by having them train shelter dogs, who will then be adopted out. The program founder, Melissa French, previously volunteered with a rescue group and ran a dog boarding/training business.
