This document provides information about three organizations where one can volunteer in New York City: Charity Water, City Harvest, and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. Charity Water brings clean drinking water to developing countries and has helped over 2 million people. City Harvest rescues food from restaurants that would otherwise be discarded and distributes it to food programs around NYC. The NYC Parks Department is seeking volunteers to help plant 15,000 flower bulbs in Washington Square Park before winter.
