• Ignoring Road Signs like Diversion,
Divider Starts or Speed Limits.

• Support Driver through early notification systems
• Notifies about potholes, blind turns, etc.
• Collecting data from sensors of drivers mobile, and
analyzing them
• Accident Detection and reporting to emergency
contacts.

We are developing a driver's assistance and
data collection application. The application
will be driven by data. It will notify the driver
about oncoming hazards like potholes, road
maintenance work, and road signs.

8. DATABASE
REQUIREMENTS
• Location of Road signs of the city/state.
• Location of ongoing Maintenance Work
• Location of Pot Holes (How to collect it?)
11. How to detect a
Pothole?

12. APP FLOW
• Mobile phone attached on the dashboard.
• Display alerts (Speed Limit Alert, Pothole Ahead,
School Ahead, Blind Turn, etc.)
• Track accelerometer’s Z-axis for abnormal
acceleration ( >= some constant) and report it to
the database server.
• If very high -ve acceleration (in case of
accidents), report it to emergency contacts.
• Record the sensors data (accelerometer,
gyroscope for prototype) inside a local database.
• After the journey is over, data collected will be
sent to a central repository for further analytics.
