1. “New” VFR Release
What is happening?
We are pleased to announce the release of a “New” Validated File Repository (VFR) for
storing data sets from clinical studies that are not loaded into Oracle Clinical (e.g.,
exploratory biomarker data).
What you need to know
What is the “New” VFR?
The new VFR is simply a file share that you can access like any other network
share.
Like the previous VFR, data sets are organized by therapeutic area, BMS compound
number, and then clinical protocol.
User access remains the same as the previous VFR to maintain a smooth transition.
When will the “New” VFR be accessible?
It is accessible now! Anyone with access to the previous VFR should have access to
the new one.
The old Documentum-based VFR will retire on Jan 31, 2017.
What is new?
You can now search for your files with the BMS Scientific Search interface. This will
help you locate your files more easily.
You can also browse the VFR folder structure for your files directly in Windows
Explorer.
Accessing the “New” VFR:
You can access the new VFR
through rdvirt353.pri.bms.comValidatedFileRepository
You can access Scientific Search
through http://scientificsearch.bms.com/search?profile=SciSearch
Please continue to contact Daru Sharp via email to have data sets deposited into the
VFR.
What should I do if I have questions?
For other support needs, please contact Daru Sharp or Al Wang.
