It describes collecting data from teachers, parents, families, and children to measure improvements in reading skills, classroom quality, home literacy environment, and other outcomes. It also includes developing teachers through professional development, classroom coaching, and providing materials to families to support literacy in the home. The goal is to increase the percentage of children who are kindergarten ready and improve third grade reading results.
