‘Getaway’ referring to the
Mediterranean style used throughout
the façade that reminds one of a lavish
holiday getaway.
• The site’s microclimate is influenced by
the lake nearby giving the atmosphere a
cooler and more humid feel compared
to the rest of areas nearby, inspiring the
use of Mediterranean style, giving users
a feel of relaxing on vacation.
• Angled windows are used in the North-
western side of the site in a aesthetic
and purposeful way to manipulate the
user’s view and to add flavour to the
façade.
• Mediterranean-Greco style compound
walls are used to complete the look and
to help with the immersion.
