My husband, Norm, and I run a horse boarding business. In October of
2013 we were due to renew our horse liability insurance. The rates we had
were extremely high and I was interested in reducing that cost. A friend had
given me Debbie Dunlop’s card a year prior just after we had already
renewed the insurance so I had held onto it for a year. I gave Debbie a call
and she came out and met with me. After getting all our information she
found a carrier who would cover the house, cars, rentals and horse business
for a several thousand less per year than we were currently paying. We were
delighted and signed with her immediately.
My daughter at the same time was shopping car insurance and Debbie
worked with her to get a rate much less than she was currently paying.
Later in the year we bought a new property and once again Debbie was there
to give us a quote for coverage. She worked with the bank to give them
what we needed to close the deal. The coverage ended up being different
from our existing horse coverage on our home place but better suited for the
horse needs of our new place. She has access to several different companies
to get quotes from so the chance of finding an insurance company to fit our
needs was better than with the prior company I had worked with.
Debbie has been great to work with. She gets back to me quickly when I
have questions or needs and has worked to get us the lowest overall rate she
could find. I have recommended her to several of our boarders looking for
liability coverage and they have been as happy with her services as we have.
