Here, we can see that over
 the years the traffic
 density has gone up in
 Vadodara…..
But the manpower in the
  Vadodara Traffic police
   department has almost
 remained unchanged…..
Forward came this man--

                  Patel
“Innovation is a
dream come true”
      -Yogesh Patel
Yogesh Patel , is an automobile
 engineer. He is 74 years old.
 But he still does service free
 of cost. He was a key member
 in the foundation on VTET
 (Vadodara Traffic Education
 Trust).

Vadodara have a lot of traffic
 junctions. But the strength of
 the Traffic police department is
 very less- about 600 personnel
 were required. They only had a
 strength of about 200….
The only way out was to get into a
  PPP(Public –private participation
  ).Rakhesh Asthaana, the then
  Commissioner of police
  department, took initiative and invite
  NGOs and other orgnasations and
  decided to build the Vadodara traffic
  bridge.Thus,Vadodara Traffic Education
  Trust was formed in October 2008.
Mission:
To build a force to regulate traffic
 by awareness of traffic rules.
To handle traffic junctions by a
 trained force.
To build a strong traffic
 engineering in association with the
 Vadodara City police and people
 of Vadodara
Steps Taken:
 Under the leadership of Shri B K
  Shreemali, the then DCP of south, steps
  to recruit and train volunteers was
  executed.
900 volunteers   responded to the
 advertisement. The recruitment process
 was so systematic that it is now being
 adopted by Gujarat police.250 boys were
 trained in 40 days.
Special training was given to prevent
 bribery and increase motivation.
CCTV cameras were installed to increase
 efficiency.
EFFECTS AND
ACHIEVEMENTS
The traffic congestion problem
has been controlled.
Now, there is a close
relationship between the people
and the traffic police.
Personal Note:
A Great plan that has been
 successfully implemented.
Needs to be constantly
 upgraded.
