This document provides long track racing results from various countries and championships between 1980-2012. It includes winners from Australia, Denmark, Norway, the Nordic championship, Golden Helmets championships in the Netherlands, and junior/U21 championships in Nordic countries, East Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, and West Germany. It also lists results from 1956 Silver Sash MR Championship in the UK, the 1990 Silver Steelshoe in Germany, Northern Territory championships in Australia in 1967-1968, the 1993 East Coast National Championship in the US, ice racing championships in Sweden and Finland, the 2010 Winter Stag Hunt in Sweden, and the 2005 Alpenarena Cup. It notes some championships were held on and off or had cancelled events in some

The 1991 Loaders gives the Oz LT winners from 1980 and the following years are absent 1981 and 1984
through to 1987. I thought this may have been due to a lack of information but in January 1989 the Sp
Star had a piece about IM’s attempt to promote the 1989 Oz LT Championship. In it he is quoted as
saying “The Longtrack Championship has been staged on and off over the years and I felt it was time to
put it on a firm footing”, suggesting in the years above it was not actually staged.

The W German Junior Championship results we have are not quite what they seem. All were reported
under the title “West German Junior Championship/OMK Junior Trophy” not indicating exactly what
form of racing they were. I assumed it was speedway but they are listed in Loaders as Long Track.

The 1975, 1978 and 1979 winners in the table however are speedway and can stand as such.
May be worthwhile to include the W German Junior LT results on the LT page? It wouldn’t be setting too
much of a precedent as only Denmark and East Germany also had Junior LT Championships. I have
included those results under separate attachment.

This doesn’t fit in with the information in the various USA tables but the result appears genuine. It is
noted in the 1994 Speedway Surveys Yearbook and includes a full scorers list.
