That's Rich! Putting a smile on ADF Faces (ODTUG Kaleidoscope 2009)Lucas Jellema
ADF web applications have been hailed as productive to develop and functionally complete. However, ADF 11g RichFaces makes them visually attractive, rich and really Web 2.0 too. This presentation is about enriching ADF Web applications with 11g RichFaces. It discusses features, components, containers, events and behaviors that ADF developers now have at their disposal and how to best use them. Key topics: panelsplitter, accordion, popup, menu, skinning, charts, Server-Push, AJAX-PPR-client-server-interaction, client events API, customization.

Finding Triggered Malice in Android AppsPriyanka Aash
Traditional techniques to detect malice in Android apps struggle to identify trigger-based changes to application logic. Unfortunately, such triggers are a key component of targeted malware, where the trigger is the mechanism that ensures that the code is only executed at the target. This talk will review how static analysis can be used to detect and leverage triggers for more robust detection.

Web-application I have always dreamt of by Victor PolischukJavaDayUA
Through years of work have been trying many of Java frameworks which provides different level of abstractions on both server and client-side. Pure Servlet+JSP, JSF, GWT, Struts, Spring MVC, Vaadin, Play!, DWR, you name it. Sometimes it felt good, sometimes not, and with each year number of “good” applications reduced to the critical minimum. Later I tried to bring all the good points I had ever seen together to create “a perfect being” and after years of struggling I feel that I have reached the goal. Let me share it…
“Mobile is eating the world,” but few developers realize that mobile software is written very differently from desktop software. This leads to lots of mobile apps that simply don’t work well, suck up battery power, or can’t recover from being put into the background. I’ll discuss a few such apps on the Android platform, and explain how they should have been written to improve user experience, illustrating general mobile development principles by example.
