Notre Dame will host several events to celebrate the rare transit of Venus occurring on June 5th. Presentations about the transit will be given on May 27th in the Digital Visualization Theater. On May 31st, a musical performance by Axiom Brass featuring works about celestial events will be held in the theater. On the day of the transit, June 5th, telescopes will be set up and solar shades distributed to safely view the transit of Venus's shadow across the sun from 5-8 PM. The public is invited to all events.
